Volunteer Information

Volunteers are an integral part of LivingWell Cancer Resource Center. They play a vital role in our organization and positively impact people facing cancer. If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, please fill out the application below.

Volunteer positions that require a background check, health check (one time blood test) and a flu vaccine are marked with an asterisk* below. Volunteers are used in a variety of roles, including:

*Ambassadors- Join a team of people who are passionate about sharing the wonderful work that LivingWell is doing. Volunteers are specially trained to share information about LivingWell programs and services at health fairs and other community events.

*Fitness/Yoga Instructors – Volunteers who are certified and interested in teaching mind/body fitness classes for people who have or had cancer are appreciated.

*Front Desk/Clerical – Answer telephones, greet and direct participants as they arrive for programs/services, register participants for programs, and other administrative tasks as they come up. Four hour morning, afternoon and evening shifts are available.

Fundraising – There are 2 major fundraisers for LivingWell Cancer Resource Center. Both require a committee of 20 to 30 volunteers working together to coordinate a variety of tasks including; “team recruitment,” corporate sponsorship, securing food, snacks, beverages, entertainment; coat-check, registration, serving, the live auction, secure sponsorships, invitations, wine, music & flowers and raffle & auction items or set-up and clean-up.

Professional Advisory Committee Members – This committee is made up of nationally recognized medical professions that provide oversight and approval of programs at LivingWell. Please contact the LivingWell Director for more information.

*Touch Therapists – are Licensed Estheticians, Licensed Massage Therapists, Certified Reflexology or Reiki practitioners who can volunteer an occasional morning or afternoon are appreciated at LivingWell.
