Children and Family

At LivingWell Cancer Resource Center, part of Northwestern Medicine, we believe that everyone in the family is affected by the cancer experience. Our children and family programs provide comprehensive educational, supportive, and recreational programs for children, teens, and parents experiencing cancer in the family.

CHILDREN/TEEN COUNSELING SERVICES

Changes in a child’s mood or behavior are common with the cancer experience. LivingWell offers counseling to help meet the unique needs of children impacted by a cancer diagnosis. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please contact LivingWell Counselor Christine McMinn at 630.315.6827.

Teen Drop-In is for teens ages 13 – 17 whose lives have been impacted by cancer. This time will provide teens the opportunity to meet other teens impacted by cancer. They will discuss changes they have experienced in their personal, family and social lives. For more information, please contact LivingWell Counselor Kelley Navar at 630.315.6825.
