LivingWell has introduced me to a welcoming group of survivors who have helped me to be one of them, taught me to live in the moment and make the very more

Join an Event

LivingWell Cancer Resource Center, part of Northwestern Medicine, hosts two annual fundraising events each year to help support our mission and our operating budget of more than $1million. Volunteers are the back bone of the planning and organization of these events and are vital to our success. Each of you has special “gifts” just waiting to be shared and we would be honored to have you join our volunteer fundraising team and share your gifts with us.

On the third Saturday in February, we will host an invitation-only Winter Benefit. Lavish hors d’oeuvres and unique wines and cocktails are plentiful and available to guests throughout the home. A committee of 20 to 30 volunteers coordinates this distinctive cocktail party which takes about five months to plan.  Committees focus on securing sponsorships, invitations, hors d’oeuvres and wine, music, flowers, and auction items. You may volunteer on the planning committee or volunteer the night of the event by helping with coat-check, registration, serving, or set up and clean up.

On the third Saturday in May our 5K Bridge Walk along the Fox River brings together thousands of individuals, family, and friends come to celebrate cancer survivors and to raise money and awareness for LivingWell.

A team of volunteers coordinates this very special morning event. Committees work together to secure teams, corporate sponsorship, food, beverages, and entertainment.

You may volunteer on the Bridge Walk planning committee or volunteer the week of the event. We need volunteers to help participants register, organize tee shirts, or help with set up and clean up.

So please come join us and be a part of our LivingWell family of volunteers!
