What Is Polypharmacy?

Presented by Gregory Dyke, RPh, Registered Pharmacist and Quality and Compliance Representative, Harbor Light Hospice

Polypharmacy is defined as the simultaneous use of multiple drugs by a single patient for one or more conditions, and it can sometimes present too much risk for too little benefit. Gregory Dyke will discuss patient, prescriber and healthcare system factors that lead to polypharmacy and offer a structured approach to managing it. Refreshments will be served.
